Welcome to our New and Improved site.  Well let’s just go with ‘new’ for right now.  This is a huge learning curve for me, because I am no way near as nerdy as some people think.  I am an artist.  I create fashion, jewelry, and Belly Dance costumes.  I am an author.  I write books on creating Belly Dance costumes.  I am a Dancer.  Though not as often as in my youth and not as much as I would like, I Belly Dance.  But when it comes to computers I bow to the Super Geek of the family, Vince.  Afterall he is the one with the master’s degree from Johns Hopkins.  He does all the background stuff that makes me look knowledgeable.  I simply do what he tells me to do.

Why change the site?  You may be asking.  Well simply put the OLD fashioned way I maintained it … died.  I tried some bandaid ideas, but they didn’t work either.  So when a friend (Rebecca) recommended this program, I went straight to the Geek for advice and help.

Now the evolution begins for designsbyjanie.com.  How it will change and how fast will depend on how fast I learn.  <wink>  I like to say, “The only constant in life is change”.  So here we go!  But in a world where businesses are changing hands, people retiring, and people taking different paths, know this … I’m going no where.
